Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are used to cosmetically improve a smile and offer the finest in aesthetic services available today. In many cases veneers can correct crooked, misaligned smiles and brighten the teeth. A “smile makeover” can instantly and dramatically reverse the aging look of a worn smile. Porcelain veneers, also known as dental laminates, consist of a wafer thin shell of porcelain, artistically constructed to duplicate the ideal aesthetic properties of a natural tooth, which is bonded onto the front surface of the teeth.

Our cosmetic dentists can completely mask unattractively coloured and stained teeth, correct thin and old looking teeth, close gaps between teeth, repair chipped teeth and make crooked and rotated teeth appear straight and even. Porcelain veneers are very thin, but once bonded in place they are very strong and they can actually make the underlying tooth stronger. Unlike crowns, the amount of tooth that has to be removed is minimal so there is less drilling.

Using the latest smile design techniques we can often provide minimal or no-prep veneers which keeps the underlying teeth as strong as possible.
